This accessibility statement applies to the Messukeskus online store and was prepared on March 20, 2025. The online store is subject to the Act on the Provision of Digital Services.
The accessibility of the service has been evaluated by an external expert organization.
Based on the most recent evaluation, the Messukeskus online store is partially compliant with the requirements and partially meets the WCAG guidelines at levels A and AA as defined by law.
We want our online store and other services to be accessible to all users. We welcome feedback regarding the accessibility and usability of our services. Instructions for providing feedback can be found at the end of this statement.
The service is not yet fully compliant with accessibility requirements. Below is a list of content and functionalities in the online store that are not yet accessible.
Text Alternatives for Images and Interface Elements
- The "Terms and Conditions" page contains a decorative image that is not programmatically hidden (WCAG 1.1.1).
- Event images contain text content that is missing from their alt text (WCAG 1.4.5).
- In the mobile view, the link to the shopping cart has an incomplete text alternative (WCAG 2.4.4).
- The language menu toggle button has an incomplete text alternative (WCAG 2.4.4).
- The language of the options in the language menu is not programmatically defined (WCAG 3.1.2).
- Some buttons contain symbols with only visual meaning that are not programmatically hidden (WCAG 2.4.4).
Visual Design
- Some links are distinguished from surrounding text by color alone (WCAG 1.4.1).
- There is insufficient contrast between text and background in several areas, including most buttons and inline links (WCAG 1.4.3).
- The service includes metadata that may prevent view scaling (WCAG 1.4.4).
- Form field borders and backgrounds lack sufficient contrast (WCAG 1.4.11).
Navigation
- The “Skip to content” shortcut is not visible when focused via keyboard (WCAG 2.4.7).
- In the mobile view, the main menu and language menu contain elements that can receive keyboard focus even when not visually visible (WCAG 2.4.7).
Structure and Headings
- Some headings are not programmatically marked as headings (WCAG 1.3.1).
Ticket Selection
- The “Show all ticket options” button opens more options above the button, but keyboard focus remains on the button. The newly visible options remain programmatically hidden (WCAG 2.1.1).
- The “Show selections” button only moves visual focus, not keyboard focus (WCAG 2.4.3).
- Selecting or deselecting a ticket option changes the view state without programmatically notifying the user (WCAG 4.1.3).
Shopping Cart
- The “Enter campaign code” field has a label, but it is not programmatically associated with the field (WCAG 2.4.6).
- Fields with incomplete input do not have programmatically associated error messages; error display relies on the browser’s built-in behavior (WCAG 3.3.1).
Cookie Management
Cookie management is implemented using a third-party service and is not fully accessible.
- Insufficient contrast between background and text (WCAG 1.4.3).
- The UI component indicating active selection lacks sufficient contrast (WCAG 1.4.11).
- Settings cannot be changed using a keyboard (WCAG 2.1.1).
- When the settings window opens, keyboard focus does not automatically move to it (WCAG 2.4.3).
- The language of the settings window content may differ from the site’s active language and is not programmatically defined (WCAG 3.1.2).
